BIO

Kieran Pugh is a music producer, sound designer and composer of video game music. Musically, his main focus is electronic music, such as House and Techno, taking inspiration from Orbital, deadmau5 and The Prodigy. He is capable of creating many genres outside this, such as chilled, and some Pop music inspired work.

 

Within video games, he has experience using middleware software, specifically Fmod and Wwise, and can implement these into the Unity game engine. He is a keen gamer, favouring 3D platformers such as Mario and Sonic, with various game soundtracks being key inspirations behind his work, such as composer Tomoya Ohtani’s work on Sonic Unleashed.

He has released music under the alias Keyfob since 2020, releasing music under other names since 2013. Keyfob is a passion project in which he releases various electronic tracks for general listening. Generally, the music features a consistent beat with heavy bass, especially when created with clubs in mind.

 

He is proficient in Logic Pro X and has experience using Ableton and Pro Tools. Within these, he is a confident audio mix engineer and song editor, with some basic skills in mastering also. He has experience working in music studios, specifically as a sound engineer recording live instruments and vocals.

He was recently awarded a Distinction for his Master of Science Degree in Music and Sound for Film and Games at The University of Hertfordshire and previously received a 2:1 degree in Bachelor of Arts for the Creative Music Production course from The Academy of Contemporary Music London. Throughout university, he became interested in video game music, wishing to pursue composing game soundtracks as a career alongside his Keyfob project.
